From small beginnings in 1939, Armourguard Security has grown to become Aotearoa New Zealand’s largest and most experienced security company providing security guard, mobile patrols, alarm response, bylaw enforcement and cash services nationwide.

Today we operate around the clock in every part of the country with 14 branches spread from Whangarei to Invercargill, including metropolitan operations in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin. This involves supporting thousands of customers at tens of thousands of sites, across all sectors and industries.

Being a NZ security company with a large team of security professionals means we can be counted on to meet any type of security need quickly – even in extreme, emergency, or short-notice situations. With this size comes breadth of services, flexibility, responsiveness, and economies of scale.

Being New Zealand’s largest security company has given us a deep understanding of – and connections with – local communities the length and breadth of the country. And it’s the people side of the business that really makes the difference. What makes our security company special

At Armourguard we are always looking for ways to deliver outstanding security services that are faster, better and more cost-effective for our customers. But it’s not just about what we do – how we go about providing our security services is every bit as important. That’s why everything we do is underpinned by our company values of Customer Focus, Innovation, Performance and Responsibility.

One way we innovate is through using market leading technologies to help keep our people safe on the job, and to provide clients with real-time information about the security services we are providing.

But the biggest point of difference lies in our people’s customer focus, and their commitment to providing outstanding performance and taking responsibility for achieving great results. This commitment can be seen in our NZ Security Association Awards track record, with many wins over the years including the industry Supreme Award on several occasions.

Importantly, all of our frontline personnel have a COA (Certificate of Approval) and receive security training. They are encouraged to train to NZQA Level 3 as a minimum and many also receive specialised role- and customer-specific training.

Armourguard is also committed to reducing our carbon footprint and are well on the way towards our goal of our vehicle fleet nationwide being 100% hybrid. In tandem with this action to minimise our transport emissions, we are a member of the Toitū CarbonReduce Programme.
