Chief Executive Officer

Shane has more than four decades’ experience working in the operational risk and security management industry in New Zealand, with much of that time as a senior manager.

Previously he was a member of the New Zealand Police’s CIB (Criminal Investigation Branch).

Customer focus and establishing strong long-term relationships based on trust and responsibility is a personal key ethic in Shane’s work life and one that is actively lead by him. This sees him working hard to ensure Armourguard delivers high quality solutions to customers’ security issues.

Shane’s leadership is very much seen as player-coach management style, leading the team but also being a direct contributor to the team. Leading teams and building strong business culture aligning with company values, beliefs, strategic purpose, and mission is a large part of his ethos.

National Finance Manager

Nick is a qualified Chartered Accountant. He is responsible for the company’s overall financial management and financial direction with an emphasis on growing the business and managing controls and compliance.

As National Finance Manager, Nick provides key support to our General Manager and is involved developing strategic direction and vision for Armourguard’s future. Nick has a vast experience in the security industry as well as a strong audit background prior to joining Armourguard.

General Manager Security Services

David brings over 30 years of senior management experience, with 20 years dedicated to the security industry. His career spans a diverse range of security solutions, from electronic monitoring for law enforcement to physical security for businesses.

Currently, David leads the patrol and guarding division of Armourguard Security in New Zealand.  He is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of this critical service, keeping communities safe and secure. Previously, he held the position of Regional Vice President at Allied Universal (Attenti and G4S), overseeing the New Zealand Department of Corrections’ Electronic Monitoring contract.

David’s passion for the security industry is evident throughout his career. He consistently embraces innovation and thrives on tackling new challenges. A results-driven individual, he is passionate about continuous improvement and fostering strong teams.

IT & T, Welfare & Dispatch Manager

Martyn has more than 20 years’ experience in the service industry and has particular expertise in IT & T and call center management across a range of industries.

He is responsible for the development and implementation of Armourguard’s critical IT and communications systems, including being responsible for the people and processes involved in delivery of these services to our clients nationwide.

Also, Martyn works with a number of our customers to develop customised IT and reporting systems and functional requirements that are fit for purpose according to their needs.

National Risk & Compliance Manager

Before joining Armourguard, Stuart spent 18 years in the New Zealand Police, most of it in the CIB and a further 22 years in the security and risk management industry. Stuart currently manages our Risk, Compliance, and Health & Safety functions across our nationwide operations.

He is committed to promoting a strict culture of compliance and maintaining a high standard of professionalism to keep our people safe and also ensure that we manage our customers’ risk.

National Cash Operations Manager

With a career originally anchored in the Australian Banking Industry, Denise has since flourished and developed into a prominent figure in the New Zealand Security Industry, as our National Cash Operations Manager.

With more than a decade’s specific experience in Cash Operations, coupled with her previous banking history, Denise brings an invaluable level of direction and vision that has seen Armourguard become a leading provider in Cash Transport and Logistics Services.

She brings both depth and value to the company leadership and strives to create a thriving professional climate that allows for both performance and balance.

Head of People and Culture

Kym is Armourguard Security’s Head of People and Culture. Passionate about cultivating high-performance teams and positive workplaces, she drives employee engagement and development.

With over 20 years of experience, Kym brings deep expertise in employment relations, culture building, workforce development, and leadership. Prior to joining Armourguard, she held senior HR roles, including Head of HR Asia Pacific for the global Agri Sector company, Datamars.

Kym is a strategic HR leader who aligns people strategies with Armourguard’s purpose, values, and business objectives. She builds strong partnerships to drive effective change.

Project Manager

Charlene is a results-oriented project manager and brings over 20 years of experience in streamlining operations and driving strategic growth across our cash services operations. Her expertise lies in fostering collaboration, managing complex projects, and ensuring a smooth transition for all stakeholders.

Charlene’s leadership tenure within cash operations brings a unique blend of experience and vision to Armourguard.  Her contributions have been instrumental in solidifying our position as a leading provider of Cash Transport and Logistics Services.
